- We are a family of 12! The Newman family farm consists of Gerry and Lisa and our children. We have 30 acres but farm 5 acres intensively. We use organic practices~no pesticides, herbicides and organic fertilizers, therefore labeling our products "Naturally Grown". We work very good as a team, everyone doing his part. Even our 3 year old can pick cherry tomatoes! (I don't know how many actually make it in the bucket though!:) Our slogan is that "We Sow It...God Grows It!"
I am missing the Independence Farmer's Market, the fresh vegetables and chatting with your children Jeff and Shayla! On these cold weekends, I’m afraid I am sometimes resorting to the wrong kinds of comfort foods and wishing I could have some of your tomatoes, cucumbers and potatoes! I see Jeff got married in December. He is a fine young man and I wish him the best! Happy New Year! Tell Shayla and Jeff that Mark from Independence says hello … and I am looking forward to May!
